Netgear designs and sells worldwide technologically advanced, branded networking products such as wireless routers and adapters, level 3 manager switches. It recently introduced products in new categories that it expects will dramatically boost sales and profits. The new categories include storage, powerline networking, Skye phones and home entertainment.
Net revenue for the second quarter 2006 was $130.7 million, a 21.5% increase as compared to $107.6 million for the second quarter 2005, and an increase of 2.7% as compared to $127.3 million in the first quarter 2006.
